How It Works
Add the Hindsight bot to your Slack workspace and interact in two ways:- DM the bot directly for private conversations
- Use
@hindsightin any channel where the bot has been added
@hindsight <your question>— Ask anything about competitors, deals, or enablement content/assets [competitor name]— List all available assets for a specific competitor with direct links

Common Use Cases
Competitor Questions Get quick answers from your competitive intelligence library:“Does Competitor A support SSO integration?” “How does Competitor B typically price their enterprise plan?” “What are our main strengths vs. Competitor C in the mid-market?”The assistant shows sources from your battlecards and intel library, then provides a synthesized answer. Deal Insights Access insights from analyzed deals:
“What objections came up in the Acme Corp deal?” “Why did we win the GlobalTech deal against Competitor X?” “What pain points did the prospect mention in our last call?”The assistant searches verified deal analysis and returns key themes, objections, and outcomes. Asset Generation Create content for active deals:
“Create a battlecard for competing against Competitor A in the MegaCorp deal” “Write an email explaining our differentiators vs. Competitor B” “Generate talking points for handling pricing objections against Competitor X”The assistant pulls relevant deals and competitive intel, then generates ready-to-use content.
Example Workflows
Pre-Call Prep:- “What do I need to know about Competitor X for today’s call?”
- “What objections typically come up against Competitor X?”
- “What’s our best positioning when they bring up [specific feature]?”
- “How did we handle [objection] in deals we won vs Competitor Z?”
- “Create a talk track for [use case] in our Acme deal”
- “What questions should I ask to highlight our strengths?”
- “Write a follow-up email addressing [concern]”

- “Generate a handoff document summarizing key buyer needs”
Best Practices
Be specific. The more context you provide, the better the answer.- Good: “What pricing objections came up against Competitor A?”
- Better: “What pricing objections came up in enterprise deals against Competitor A in Q3?”
/assets for quick discovery. Before asking a question, check what assets already exist for a competitor. The command shows everything available with direct links.
Check the main platform if you need more. The Slack Assistant is optimized for speed and verified answers. For deeper analysis, raw data access, or complex queries, use the in-app chat.
