Get your competitive enablement agent live in four steps. By the end, your reps can tag @Hindsight in Slack and get answers grounded in your content and tracked competitor pages — without you maintaining a single battlecard by hand. Everything below happens in the setup flow. It saves as you go, so you can stop and come back anytime.

Add your competitors

Hindsight pre-fills the grid with suggested competitors from your market, so you usually start with a list already in front of you.Review the suggestions, then:
  • Edit or remove any that don’t fit
  • Add competitors manually — enter a name or website and Hindsight enriches the logo and description automatically
  • Import a CSV (name, website, category) to add many at once
  • Optionally set a category so reps still get guidance for competitors without a named card
Keep whatever’s in the grid — those become your tracked competitors when you continue.

Upload files and choose pages to track

For each competitor, give the agent something to ground its answers in:
  • Upload your content — battlecards, objection handling, one-pagers, decks. Connect Google Drive, Notion, or Confluence, or upload files directly. The agent draws from your library first, so the more you add, the better day-one answers are.
  • Choose web pages to track — pick the pages Hindsight watches for changes (pricing, changelog, blog, G2). It scrapes them into your intel library and keeps them current automatically.
  • Add URL filters (optional) — restrict the agent’s web research to authoritative sources like their docs or pricing page, keeping answers grounded.
Files about your own company — playbook, messaging, ICP — go under “You”.

Add agent instructions

Continue to the agent step, where you can test a real question against a live Slack simulation — ask exactly what a rep would mid-deal:
@Hindsight how do we beat [Competitor X] in an enterprise deal?
Then shape how the agent responds:
  • Custom instructions — tone, positioning rules, things to always (or never) say, so the agent stays on message
  • Notifications — route feedback and answer activity to the right Slack channel or people
If an answer looks thin, that’s signal — go back and add more content for that competitor.

Deploy

Put the agent where your reps already work:
  • Connect Slack from the setup screen, then invite Hindsight to a channel like #compete
  • Reps tag @Hindsight in any channel — or DM it directly — to get an answer grounded in your library and tracked pages
  • MCP endpoint (optional) — use the same agent inside Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI tool. See the MCP docs.
That’s it — your competitive enablement agent is live.
