Get up and running with Hindsight CI in four steps. By the end, your team will have competitive content grounded in real deal data and a live Slack assistant they can query mid-deal.

Add Your Competitors

Your competitors are added during setup. Hindsight sets up a default “Monitoring” workflow for each competitor, which you can customize or turn off. This workflow automatically tracks competitor changes across the web, G2, news, and job postings — so you get a steady stream of updates without lifting a finger.

Run Your First Recipe

With competitors added, the fastest way to see Hindsight’s value is to run a recipe from the chat.
  1. Go to Chat in Hindsight
  2. You’ll see the “Getting Started - Battlecard Recipe”
  3. Fill out the competitor name
  4. Run it and review the output
Save pages to your intel library. If the agent surfaces a URL you haven’t tracked yet — a competitor’s pricing page, a G2 profile, a recent blog post — you can save it directly to your intel library from the chat.Save assets to your library (optional). If the output looks good, save it. Click Save to Library in the chat and tag it with the competitor. Title it specifically so reps know exactly when to use it.

Upload Your Existing Content

If your team already has competitive content — battlecards, objection handling docs, one-pagers — bring it in now.Go to Assets and connect your integration (Google Drive, Notion, or Confluence), or upload files directly. Tag each file with the relevant competitor. Files about your own company — your playbook, your messaging, your ICP — go under “You”.This seeds your knowledge base immediately. The AI assistant draws from your asset library first when answering rep questions, so the more complete it is on day one, the better the answers from the start.

Connect Slack and Test Your First Question

Hindsight works best when it meets reps where they already are.To connect:
  1. Add the Hindsight Slack app to your workspace
  2. Type @Hindsight in any channel and confirm the invite
Once connected, test it. Ask a question a rep would actually ask mid-deal:
@Hindsight how do we beat [Competitor X] in an enterprise deal?
@Hindsight what objections come up most against [Competitor Y]?
The answer will be grounded in your asset library and deal data. If the answer is thin, that’s signal — go back to Step 2 and build out more content for that competitor.
